'Giuseppe x Sorry in Advance' - Giuseppe Zanotti partners with Evan Mock on a new, luxury streetwear launch

MILAN – An eclectic mash-up comes to life, courtesy of an exclusive new collaboration between Giuseppe Zanotti and Evan Mock. The Italian luxury house is partnering with the American skater, photographer, model, and Gossip Girl cast member on an exuberant new collection and accompanying campaign. Called Giuseppe X Sorry in Advance (a fun riff on Evan’s eponymous streetwear label), the limited-edition line-up blends Evan’s free-spirited attitude and keen eye with Giuseppe’s chic sensibility. In other words, next-gen luxury streetwear. An Italian soul with an American spirit. Disruptive but inclusive. Transgenerational. The tight edit, which features a t-shirt, hoodie, and high-top, pulls from both creatives’ signature imprints, infusing one with the other in an unexpected, contemporary mash-up. The high top—a hack of Giuseppe Zanotti’s iconic TALON—is crafted in total white and buttery pastel leathers, like baby pink and light blue, and features Evan’s graffiti-style “Sorry” logo, which is spray-painted in black across the upper.

Retro and playful, the t-shirt and hoodie are printed with an image of the colorful Sorry! boardgame graphic and then overlaid with the graffiti “Sorry” logo. On the back, Giuseppe’s signature logo drips with a new spray-paint treatment. “I love how both the sneaker and the RTW act as a canvas for these highly graphic elements,” says Giuseppe. “The colors, the details, the materials—it all just pops in a very contemporary way,” adds Evan. For the accompanying campaign, Mock is both the star and the creative force behind it, bringing his editorial eye and youthful character to a series of images and videos that are both visceral and surreal; dreamy but of-the-street. So just how did the skater from Hawaii meet the designer from Romagna? In Milan, of course. After attending Giuseppe’s MFW presentation in early 2020, the two immediately realized they shared the same maverick, rule-breaking spirt and soon began to collaborate, culminating in their forthcoming capsule drop.

“Evan is a creative force and possesses true character. He has a distinct style all his own that speaks to a new generation,” says Giuseppe. “Nothing about him is forced, it comes naturally—laid back but instantly noticeable.” “Giuseppe is full of imagination and open to experimenting,” says Evan. “I loved working with him on the design—his eye is in the details.”
