Future to Future, the Icon Series Return. After the first drop in 2020, Giuseppe Zanotti Icons returns with the arrival of the 'Amira'

MILAN –Following the launch in December 2020, the Giuseppe Zanotti Icons project is back with an exclusive second drop, this time featuring the gorgeously crafted Amira sandal. First released in Giuseppe Zanotti’s Spring Summer 2005 collection, the Amira once again proves that iconic style transcends time and place. At once timeless and contemporary, the striking metallic leather sandal features an array of intricate chains composed of ornamental jewels, crystals and beadwork. Every tiny ornament of the Amira is applied by hand, rendering each pair one-of-a-kind.

“Like true beauty, one-of-a-kind craftsmanship never ages,” says Giuseppe Zanotti. “The Amira—sophisticated, dazzling, embellished—epitomizes my innate approach to design and style. I have always believed that a woman should adorn her feet with grace and elegance.” To celebrate the launch of the Amira, the House is collaborating with artist and activist Laetitia Ky. Known for her intricate and thought-provoking hair sculptures, Ky will create a new piece around the jeweled sandal. “For me, Giuseppe’s creations are like wearable works of art—they transport you and lift you up,” says Ky. “I love the creativity behind the Icons project and the chance to co-create with Giuseppe.”
